The free hearing test is an essential part of this as it defines the level and type of hearing loss, individual to each person. For that reason, hearing aids cannot be dispensed by unqualified dispensers, or be purchased over the counter or through the internet.
Choice may also be governed by hearing aid fitting comfort or cosmetic considerations (e.g. colour choice to match hair colour) – or the desire for a truly invisible solution to your hearing impairment.
